Three Beaver alums are making strong showings on their Division III basketball teams this winter.
Ephraim McDowell ’08, a junior guard and co-captain at Hamilton College, is the team’s leading three-point specialist (racking up 123 points from long range in his college career, so far). Ephraim is one of the Continentals’ top two shot-makers and rebounders, scoring an average of 13.1 points per game this season. Last year, as a sophomore, Ephraim was named to the Liberty League’s All Academic Team, and he was a two-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week as a freshman.
Logan Furr ’09, a sophomore guard at Dickinson College, leads the team in three-point shots, blazing back after a freshman season in which he was sidelined by injuries. The team is young, and Logan stands out as one of the leaders in its rebuilding phase.
Chris Quinn ’09 is off to a strong start as a freshman guard at Macalester College. After taking a post- graduate year at Wilbraham and Monson Academy, Chris has quickly become one of the team’s top five shot-makers. He scored a career-high 15 points in a recent game and leads in assists.
