Sam Potel ’11 was named a Scholar-Athlete by the US Squash Association for 2009-10. To qualify, players must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher and hold a US Squash ranking. Sam was one of 45 boys nationally in the boys U17 division recognized in 2009-10. A linchpin of Beaver’s squash team, Sam trains year-round and hopes to continue playing in college.

Since its inception four years ago, the BCDS team continues to build interest, and is looking forward to continuing the competitive momentum with its new coach, math teacher James Chan. Coach Chan has coached for SquashBusters and plays on their adult team. The team will begin afternoon practices at the Boston Sports Club on Nov. 15.
