Several keen faculty eyes spotted former student Vaughn (“Ayinde”) Gray ’04 as the model on the cover of the Boston Globe’s Sunday magazine on April 4. Vaughn was kind enough to send us this update on his career as a model and a clean energy consultant:
“Modeling is a part-time occupation. It started after a Boston photographer approached me and said he’d like to distribute my picture to a modeling agency here in Boston, Maggie Inc. Since graduating from Connecticut College with a degree in economics and psychology (thanks to Beaver’s psychology department), I’ve worked in the financial services industry, until more recently when I decided to partner up with a Philadelphia-based clean energy company, LED Savings Solutions. I’m reaching out to environmentally conscious companies, facilities, and schools about using advanced clean energy technology in the form of LEDs (light emitting diodes). Its saves corporations 80% on their light bills, while drastically reducing CO2 emission. Modeling serves as supplemental income, but I’ve had the pleasure of working with companies including Coca Cola, Puma, Reebok, Neiman Marcus and many others.”
Vaughn is the older brother of Sowande Gray ’09 and Khadijah Gray ’08.
