The award presentation was held on April 22 at the Princeton Club in Boston, at an event attended by the University’s president Shirley M. Tilghman and more than 600 local alumni. Her faculty sponsor, Hiatt Center Director of Educational Leadership Robert Principe, accompanied her.

Seven other local high school students were also recognized for their work in promoting “harmony, understanding, and respect among people of different races.” Princeton inaugurated the prize in 2003, and it has since expanded to 23 regions across the U.S.

Danny will attend Colgate University next year.
