Three members of Beaver’s varsity fencing team medaled at the Concord Carlisle Invitational Meet on January 9-10. Joseph Randles ’12 won the gold medal in boys’ epee, Sheyda Bautista-Saeyan ’10 placed 5th in girls’ saber, and Omari Spears ’12 got 6th in boys’ foil.
Of the nine Beaver students who competed in the Concord Carlisle meet, seven advanced to the semi-finals. Cam Meyer ’15 came in 7th in boys’ foil, and Will Harrington ’12 and Nora Demick ’12 placed 8th in boys’ and girls’ saber, respectively. The strong individual results in the Concord Carlisle meet came after the boys’ team had swept three head-to-head matches against B.U. Academy, Bishop Feenan High and Northampton High. The girls scored a win over B.U. Academy.
