26.2 Miles will explore the history, importance, and resonance of the most central event on the yearly calendar in Boston: The Boston Marathon. Together, the Beaver Ensemble will delve into the athletes, community members, events, and historical figures that make the Boston Marathon what it is. From its inception in 1897, to the many eccentric and inspirational characters that make up its vibrant past, to the day that forever changed Boston, the Marathon Bombing, and beyond, our ensemble will explore why this day and event mean so much to so many in our community.
