Hello, Middle School Students and Families! Below is this week’s MS Meeting recap.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Olivia Smith ’30 announced next week’s Middle School BVR Leadership Institute titled Inside Out: Discover, Grow, Lead happening this Monday, September 23, at 8 a.m. on the D-Level. Students sign up through an email sent by the Hiatt Center.


Lego League starts today! Mr. Rohn and Ms. Klammer invited students to CREATE today to check out a robot to get a sneak peak of what Lego League work will look like. Lego League is today from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and/or tomorrow during recess.

RISE
Tomorrow’s RISE activity is making macrame rainbows. Through fun activities, students learn how to deal with stress and worry.


ADVISORY AGENDA
This week’s advisory agenda: an advisory competition on Upper Field.


WELLNESS
8th grade has wellness this week. 7th grade will have wellness next week. Ms. Graham will send an email notifying students when they have wellness.


ATHLETICS
Athletic games started last week, and we announce home games at MS Meeting. Check out the athletic schedules on the BVR website.


8TH GRADE PRESIDENT FORUM

We then transitioned to the 8th grade president forum!

Eight students ran for office: Zach Chiu, Rishaan Chowdhury, Aly Diaz, Marli Forrester, Ave Hurley, Eka Krishnan, Conor McKinley, and David Yatskar.

Juliet Wasserman ’29 was the forum moderator. Students answered questions related to their leadership qualities, their ideas for fun student activities, and their goals for Student Council this year.

6th, 7th, and 8th graders can apply to be Student Council grade representatives. Applications are due Friday, and their forums will be next week.
