In Advisory on Monday, students had a conversation on values and activism. They watched a video about a Black Kreyol farmer who is committed to ending racism and injustice in our food system.

We had a double feature in this week’s Tuesday Club Spotlight!

Beaver Gives Back Club, led by club leaders Maddy Sclar ’22, Charlotte Parsons ’22, and Emma Davidson ’22, shared how they are working with Cradles to Crayons to donate necessities to families facing financial barriers.

In Sports Management and Analytics Club, Gabe Cohen ’25 and Sam Fishman ‘25 talked about how they learn all the behind-the-scenes it takes to run a sport by partaking in Simulation Leagues.

During Upper School Meeting on Wednesday, 9th and 10th graders met NuVu Directors Rob MacDonald and Karen Sutton. They learned about the program, virtually toured the space, and saw students at work in the space. Sydney Vega ‘23, who is currently at NuVu, shared her wonderful project with the community.

In the meantime, 11th graders had a relaxing day in advisory, playing board games and connecting with one another while our seniors had a Phonetic Olympiad aka spelling bee.

In Advisory on Thursday, students had one-on-one meetings and “town hall” style conversations.

Thursday afternoon, the Class of 2022 went ice skating at 401 Park Ice Rink in Fenway. Head of School Kim Samson joined the class and tested out the ice before the seniors got there. The ice quality was…skate-able. Most importantly, there was a lot of laughter and smiles on the rink and by the food truck. It was a gorgeous day!
