BVRx: Conversations about youth activism, innovation, entreprenuership, and social change

Posted on February 20, 2019

A team of students put together a conference – BVRx – for the entire Beaver community to share ideas on youth activism, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social change on February 19.

Featuring six speakers – two students, one faculty member, two current parents, and one outside expert – the night was the vision of junior Jules Hollands, who organized the event as part of her youth activism independent study. Jules said she was inspired by TEDx events and wanted the evening to spark conversations on a variety of topics in the Beaver community.

And while there were a few bumps along the road (having to reschedule the event last minute due to snow, just to name one!) Jules said the event went better than her “extremely” high expectations.

“I’m so grateful the Beaver community supports student ideas,” she said. “I couldn’t have done this alone!”
