Students from Upper School choirs travel to Nashville, explores the city’s rich music history

This past November, 26 students from Beaver’s Upper School choirs spent four days in Music City, USA (aka Nashville, Tenn.), where they held a recording session at the historic RCA Studio B , received a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry, attended two shows at the Ryman Auditorium, held a clinic with the Director of Choral Activities at Lipscomb University (Mr. Averitt‘s alma mater), and of course, ate some amazing southern cooking!

Senior Tyler Price said the trip was an amazing experience and he learned a lot about the history of the Nashville area as well as how to bring his singing to the next level.

“It was cool to see a city I never thought about going to,” he said. “Musically, I learned that if you put emotion into a song, it will sound ten times better.”
