The BVR STEM club, led by Christine Alcindor ‘21 and Ella Val ‘21, had the opportunity to speak with Carl E. Fields. Fields is an Astronomy and Astrophysics Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University who is scheduled to finish his dissertation this year. His research interests include compact astronomical objects, astrophysical sources of gravitational waves, and core-collapse supernovae.
The STEM Club values diversity within science and representation, so it was amazing to speak to Mr. Fields and learn about his journey. – Christine Alcindor ’21
