Here is an overview of our four-part orientation program for our new faculty and staff.
- PART 1 June: Learn about our culture and approach to Teaching for Learning.
- PART 2 Throughout the Summer: Connect and inquire with us as well as your Department Heads.
- PART 3 Late August: You’ll be back on-campus to learn everything you need to know to kick off the school year.
- PART 4 Throughout the year: We’ll regularly meet and check-in to support you as you navigate your first year at Beaver.
Objectives:
- Get to know the school: mindset and culture of Beaver
- Feel prepared to start teaching/working at Beaver
- Talk to faculty/staff: ask questions and seek advice
If you have any questions at any time, you can always contact Kader Adjout, Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation.
Takeaways
After our extensive orientation, you’ll be comfortable with:
- Who we are
- What we do
- Why we do it
- How you’re a part of it all!
This includes the big picture—like our vision and our priorities—and the nitty-gritty—like taking attendance and understanding the All-School calendar.
