Goalkeeper of the Year and to the AE All-Conference First Team in women’s soccer. She leads the conference with a save rate of .923, and has allowed in only three goals all season. Alice has not been scored on in her last 527:11 of play, helping BU to achieve the sixth-longest shutout streak (11 games) in NCAA history. The team won its fourth AE regular season title and swept all six major AE conference awards.
Beaver alumna Holly Battelle ’04 is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to research and pilot a solar energy project in Bangladesh. Holly, who majored in economics at Colby College, will leave her current research position at the Congressional Budget Office to spend 11 months in Dhaka, starting in January 2011. Holly shared her Fulbright plans in a recent email to Beaver’s alumni relations department
Broadway music man Will Van Dyke ’02 has produced his first album of original songs, Chasing the Day, to be released later this month. With vocals by several marquee names on Broadway including Stephanie J. Block (Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical, The Pirate Queen, and The Boy from Oz), the CD also includes a track sung by Pauline Pisano, who once appeared with Will in a student production at Beaver.
