As the winter season comes to a close, the Athletic Department has awarded its final Athletic Accolades of the season. The boys’ varsity basketball and girls’ varsity basketball teams were honored for their outstanding seasons. For the first time since 1991, both teams took home EIL regular season championships.

The boys finished the season with a 26-2 record, going undefeated in EIL play. To cap off the regular season title, they also won the EIL tournament crown and earned a #1 seed in the NEPSAC Class B tournament. During NEPSACs, the boys fought off some tough opponents to also capture the NEPSAC Class B championship.

Girls’ basketball had another successful season, winning the EIL regular season and tournament championships. They also earned a NEPSAC tournament birth, seeded #4 in Class C. By winning an intense first game, the girls were able to advance to the semi-finals of the NEPSAC tournament. They finished the 2011-2012 season with an impressive 20-3 record.
