  1. Speed up the breeding process, to produce best results quickly. Quicker outcome would then translate into bigger profit, adds convenience to an otherwise tedious process. Side note: Tis the year 2000 and the woman is still wearing turn of the century clothing and steam era technology.

  2. They were assuming that with time technology would develop in whatever ways would be the most beneficial to them. So in this example the farm’s productivity is improved because of the ability to speed up the egg to chick process. They didn’t think about what was realistic they simply thought about whatever would help them the most and assumed it would become possible in time.

  3. 1. They were thinking of a way to accelerate the process of a chick’s life. This could bring about ways to achieve more food for families faster, to sell, to improve the local economy.

    2. Test-tube babies, the fast paced life we live in general, growth hormones, processed foods.

  4. They were trying to speed up the natural process of hatching eggs.

The modern manifestation would be how in our everyday life, everything is quick and changing.

  5. kinda freaky. giant creepy incubator. they were clearly attempting to speed the process of incubation down to a very short and probably unhealthy amount of time. the modern modifications are comparable to growth hormones.

  6. We believe thatthe picture represents a modern day assembly line to produce fast food(s), less labor and mass production. Less work more profit. Artificial growth. Sterotype of ‘easy to use’ for a woman.
    Modern manifistations: incubator…animall farms.
