Marsh, Zukerberg, and Risk earn Athletic Accolades

This week, three student-athletes were honored with Athletic Accolades. Jon Marsh ’13, Hayley Zukerberg ’16, and Shantal Risk ’17 received the award for their hard work and performance on the fields and courts.

Jon Marsh ’13 – Boys’ Varsity Tennis
Co-Captain Jon Marsh has stepped up to the #1 Singles position on our team.  His training in the off-season is evident. He has improved more in a one-year time span than any player I have previously coached.  He is currently 3-0 on the year and will be heading to Portsmouth Abbey tomorrow hopefully to prolong this streak. He is also a gentleman and a good-natured role model.

Hayley Zukerberg ’16 – Girls’ Varsity Tennis
Hayley Zukerberg has started off this season going undefeated in the EIL at #3 singles for this year’s Girls Varsity Tennis team. Thus far, she has posted 5-0 record overall and despite playing mostly juniors and seniors from other teams, she has won every match in straight sets. Hayley has proven to be a formidable force with her unique two-handed forehand and backhand technique. She is an incredible athlete, whose balance and footwork are unmatched. In fact several coaches have commented on her well rounded game.

Shantal Risk ’17 –  MS Girls’ Lacrosse
Shantal Risk has had great performances during the past few weeks. She works hard both offensively and defensively, showing great focus, determination and perseverance. In the game against Newton Country Day, she tallied 2 goals as the team won 9-7. Shantal is a great leader, and is always helping her teammates.
